Funniest and/or fondest childhood memories: When I was about seven years old I got a brand new red suit and when I was wearing the red suit, I had to go and look for my Grandmother to her friend’s house. When I left my house I saw a red hat and I put it on, when I arrived to the house where I was going there was a dog, that after seeing me started angrily barking at me and  I thought it would kill me, but my Grandmother saved me.

Un día me compraron un traje rojo, tenia como 7 años, y me puse mi traje nuevo pero tenia que salir de la casa a buscar a mi abuelita a la casa de su amiga, y al salir de mi casa mire un gorro rojo y me lo puse pero una perra de la casa donde fui, se enojo tanto al verme que parecía que me mataría, pero me salvo mi abuelita.

Funniest and fondest adult memory: One Sunday night at around 8:30 pm, my wife and I saw an ice cream bars vendor who seemed very hungry. We asked him if he had already eaten and he said no, when we saw that his cart was still full of ice cream bars, we asked them how many had he sold, and he said these are the first two. Then my wife and I went to buy for him two delicious sub-sandwiches and a soda, when we came back we were relieved to see that he was selling a lot of ice cream bars. We told him: It looks like you are going to finish selling all the ice cream bars in you cart pretty soon, and he said: “yes, this will be the third full cart I have sold today”. We were surprised, because we had thought that he had not sold anything in all day without realizing that the two we bought were the first two of the third full cart he had sold that day.

Testimony: I was raised as a Catholic believer, I did my first communion, I confessed to the preacher, took  communion  and I tried to assist every Sunday to  church. I was taught that my deeds and works had to be bigger and better than my sins to be able to get into heaven. I tried to be good and I put a lot of effort in following the Ten Commandments without success.  As I grew up I kept breaking the commandments of God more and more often, and I felt like a sinner without hope. When I was 19 years old,  in June of 1990 I went to a Christian Camp where they told me that Christ came to save me from sin and from hell, and that I only had to accept him as my Lord and Savior. Later that day I put my faith in Jesus and I received him in my life to trust in him and follow his teachings. From that day, my life changed; first, I felt the peace of forgiveness, then the love of God became real.

I no longer felt that God was only in Heaven, since then I have felt God’s presence, but above all, I feel his love for me, which is super special and the biggest thing in my life.
