More Christians, More Christlikeness: MC2
As long as there is one unsaved person within our
sphere of influence, our task remains undone. We believe God has strategically
placed Bethany Bible Church in the central corridor of Phoenix so that
we may have an eternal impact on our community. Because it is not God’s
desire that anyone perish, and that all be saved, we long to win more
unbelievers to Christ. Then, as Christ has commanded us, we also seek
to help every believer grow to full maturity in Jesus Christ.

Building Bridges
to Connect
People to Christ
When Bethany
Bible Church was founded in 1955, there was a strong desire for Bethany
to be a lighthouse for Christ in our surrounding community. Though many
programs and ministries have changed over the years, our mission and passion
for reaching unbelievers has remained the same. We long to help unbelievers
come to Christ and for believers to become more like Christ. Through our
people, our ministries, and our facilities we are building bridges to connect
people to Christ in life changing ways.
UPDATE: As of January, 2007, we've paid off all of our $1,025,000 debt. We're now on to the Campus Projects part of Phase I. Praise God!
Goal: $1,750,000
1st Priority: Retire All Debt ($1,025,000)
2nd Priority: Resource Campus Projects ($725,000)
· Children Ministries
· Worship Ministries
· Facilities
· Ministry Expansion
· Planning/Design for
· Possible BuildingModifications and Additions

Goal: $2,225,000
Phase II may include a central Lobby (atrium) that
can be used for channeling people into both the Sanctuary and Chapel
worship services. The goal of this project will be to provide a central “connecting” area.
This area could include:
· Guest Information Area
· Ministry Information/Sign Up Counter (men, women, etc.)
· Box Office (buy tickets for events)
· Expanded BBC Espresso
· Bookstore/Resource Center (sermon CDs, DVDs, books, etc.)
· Casual Seating Areas
This phase may also include driveway, landscaping, and parking lot improvements
that will draw newcomers into our campus and buildings. Details are still
in process and dependant upon member involvement and resources. No future
debt will be incurred in this phase.
Not Equal Giving, but Equal Sacrifice
Bridging the Gap covers a 3 year period. Please consider making a financial commitment
over and above your regular giving. Not everyone can give the same amount, but
everyone can give something. By pointing out a poor widow’s gift, Jesus
tells us how significant every person’s gift can be if given sacrificially
(Mark 12:41-44). Our hope is that each one of us will make a commitment to give
sacrificially so that God will be pleased and ministries will be multiplied.
We believe God can accomplish this here at Bethany if we will each do our part
in giving to our vision. We encourage you to step out on faith and trust God
to provide as we commit to give.

Advancing the
BBC Vision with the Lord
As Bethany continues
to reach out to new people and to build believers up in Christ, we as a
church are faced with new challenges. We need to add and expand ministries
in order to help people get connected. We have additional space and programming
needs as we try to accommodate the growing number of children we are
reaching.

The Bridging the Gap campaign will positively impact short and long term
ministries in three specific ways:
Being debt free – Getting and staying out of debt will release us
from this obligation and will give us the freedom to focus our resources
on ministry items that directly impact people and which expand our vision
of “More Christians, More Christ-likeness.” It will be a blessing
to move our ministries forward on a very solid financial foundation.
Completing much needed campus improvements
and upgrades – God has
given us a wonderful facility and soon it will be debt free. We need
to take care of what God has entrusted to us. We will enhance its value
by doing the things that are necessary to allow us to maximize the ministry
potential of what God has graciously given us.
The consideration of a central lobby
or atrium area - This central “connecting” area
and the possibility of driveway, landscaping, and parking lot enhancements
will draw newcomers into our campus and building, enhancing our outreach.
It will also unify and draw us together as a church, and give us the
opportunity of maximizing our fellowship, our ministries, and the use
of our campus for God 12 months out of the year.
